Regular Season Round 15: Split - Zadar 73-77

The most interesting game of round 15 was a derby match between two teams from Croatia. Tenth rankedZadar won against host Split (6-9) 77-73 . The best player for the winners was Montenegrin point guard Vladimir Mihailovic (193-1990) who scored 22 points. Mate Kalajzic (189-1998) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and center Ivan Vranes (207-1996, agency: BIG) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Zadar have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending Croatian champion (8-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mega BG and Cedevita Ol. Split at the other side keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Zadar is looking forward to face Cibona (#15) in Zagreb in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Split will play on the road against Igokea (#5) in Aleksandrovac and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
